Nurse Entrepreneurship Is On The Rise!
I just returned from the annual conference of the National Nurses in Business Association which was held in Las Vegas. What a wonderful conference with speakers from many fields - all designed to inform and guide RNs to move beyond the traditional RN role, to fill the needs emerging in this fractured medical/industrial complex.
I was fortunate to be included as a speaker - detailing the history and function of independent RN Patient Advocates. This unique role has been developing and expanding since 2002 and the response was electric. Finally, a substantive way for experienced clinical RNs to practice pure nursing, to expand their role and capability as a patient advocates. Time to use our heads more than our backs......
The conference started with an outstanding presentation by Donna Cardillo, RN, MA, CSP, who enabled the RNs to understand how they can best achieve their dreams of entrepreneurship and expansion of their careers. You can check out her website at www.DonnaCardillo.com.
If you have a dream, a passion for moving outside the envelope, you should really consider joining the National Nurses in Business Association. They are a significant key to all the resources you need.
Talk with you again soon!
peace......and good health
